Nectarine & Spice


Sometimes accidents create a wonderful result. Nectarines, accidental nectarines albeit, come together with indian spices to create our lightest shrub. The perfect complement to a salad of romaine, blue cheese, and citrus segments. Still very drinkable on its own or with soda water. It can also be used simply with prosecco or cava to make a delightful Shrubosa (shrub mimosa). For the more adventurous it compliments bourbon and vermouth quite nicely.

 

Recipes 

 Slammin' Salmon

2 Salmon fillets 

1 Avocado

1 Nectarine

1/4 cup Chopped yellow onion

1/2 cup Chopped tomato

1 tsp Garlic

3 oz Nectarine & Spice Shrub

1 tbsp Lemon juice

1 tsp Black pepper

1 tsp Salt

- Chop avocado, tomato, nectarine, and onion. Mix with 1 oz of shrub

- Mix garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and 2 oz shrub in bowl

- Pour over salmon and rest refrigerated for 30 min

- Grill to taste and top with salsa

 

Tasty Blues

2 Handfuls local arugula 

3 oz Gorgonzola cheese 

1/4 cup Shredded almonds

1/4 cup Chopped red onion

1 Peach cubed

2 oz Nectarine & Spice Shrub

-Combine all ingredients in bowl, toss, and dress with shrub

Derby Dash

1.5 Sweet Bourbon

3/4 Nectarine & Spice Shrub

1/2 Dry vermouth

Dash Orange Bitters

-Stir and Top with Bubbles
